Thorp Perrow ‘Days Out’ Review

Silver Cross, or should we say Ross Hewitt, is back with another ‘Days Out’ review! This time he has reviewed Thorp Perrow in North Yorkshire – this is what he had to say:

“Good day out; when the weather’s nice”

Thorp Perrow is beautiful, stunning in fact, but make sure you go there when the sun is shining or at least when it’s dry as it is predominently an outdoors venue.

The walks around the grounds are as short or long as you want them to be with every area being beautifully cared for and verging on outstanding. Great woods, lakes with a wealth of natural life and little secret wood scupltures scattered around.

There is a brilliant collection of birds of prey and small animals and mammals, and a really good wooden adventure playground.

Plenty of parking, a nice coffee shop and some really cool events such as mushroom picking trails, falconery displays etc make this a venue where you could get happily lost for a day.

We hope you enjoyed this review. Perhaps you can recommend some of your favourite day trips?

How nice it would be to stroll around these grounds pushing an elegant coachbuilt Silver Cross pram! Why don’t SX arrange a “pram push” for those of us with the coachbuilt prams? It would be great publicity for the company and a nostalgic day out for lots of people.
