It’s Baby Show time once again! Silver Cross are really looking forward to The Baby Show at the NEC, Birmingham, which is being held between 21st-23rd May 2010. We were fortunate enough to sit down with Tamzin Hawkins, a Fabric Category Designer in our Design and Development team, to get some information on the show.

Hi Tamzin, can you tell our readers a little more about your role at Silver Cross HQ?

Of course. I am part of the Design and Development team at Silver Cross. I am a Fabric Category Designer, for the lightweight stroller range, which means I focus on Silver Cross Fizz, Silver Cross Pop, Silver Cross Pop Duo, Silver Cross Dazzle and Silver Cross Halo.

For those readers who are not familiar with the Birmingham NEC Baby Show can you tell us a little bit about it please?

The Birmingham NEC Baby Show is a great chance for consumers to have a unique shopping experience and obtain expert information and advice. Also, the show provides great entertainment for kids, making it a great family day out! If you are expecting your first child or are already a parent then The Baby Show is the place to go as it has a large selection of new and existing products in one place. This helps you to understand all the options out there and make an informed decision on your purchase. There are product demonstrations, special show deals, talks and friendly advice.

What makes the Birmingham NEC Baby Show so exciting?

It’s a great opportunity for us to meet our customers face-to-face and helping them to choose the right product to suit their lifestyle. The feedback and customer requests we get are also invaluable for our on-going design development. We really do take on board what people say to us, and then try to build upon existing designs.

What is your favourite thing about the show?

The atmosphere! It’s a real buzz! It’s great to see people out and about at different stages of parenthood, as well us talking and demonstrating Silver Cross products directly to our customers.

What products will Silver Cross be showcasing at the event? What are you excited to be displaying this year?

Silver Cross will be there supporting our retailers. We have Kiddisave – Walsall, Baby Planet – Leicester and Glasgow Pram Centre – Glasgow as well as Mothercare at the show this year. The Silver Cross Surf travel system is our newest addition this year. Customers will also be able to place orders on the new 2010 colourways as seen in our new catalogue and online at www.silvercross.co.uk.

Where will attendees be able to find Silver Cross products?

Kiddisave, Baby Planet, Glasgow Pram Centre, and Mothercare. There will be 3 Silver Cross representatives present at the show, demonstrating and supporting our retailers.
