Welcome to the Silver Cross blog. We’re really excited about it and hope you’ll take the time to get involved and join in the conversation.
We started the blog because we love to find out what customers think about our products. This helps us to see what works well and improve what we do in the future. It also gives you a chance to learn more about us and for us to learn more about you.
We’ll be writing new posts regularly on everything from new products to what’s happening at Silver Cross that we think you might find interesting. We’ll also be responding to your questions and comments.
What’s going to make this blog a real success is your opinions and feedback so we’ve written a few pointers below to help you comment on our posts. There’s also a page which explains how to subscribe to our posts so that you don’t miss anything.
Comments
- You can make a comment on any of the posts on the blog. Just go to the ‘Leave Response’ section of that post and leave your comment along with your name and email address. Don’t worry, your email address won’t be shown next to the comment, it’s just for moderation purposes.
- You’re also asked to enter a web address. If you have a blog then you can put the web address in this section. If you don’t you can put a link to any other social networks or websites you have, such as a Facebook or Twitter page.
- All comments on the Silver Cross blog are moderated, so you won’t see your posts straight away, we just have to check them first and make sure that they fit with the rules of our blog.
There are just a few house rules to remember:
- Feel free to express your opinions and leave comments on any of the posts on this blog. However, although we encourage lively debate, crude and offensive language will not be tolerated. We want this to be a friendly and polite environment.
- We’ll allow comments under a pseudonym (nick name), but do not allow impersonation. Please feel free to tell us who you are in your comments because it makes your opinions matter even more to us and others who read what you write.
- We will never delete a post unless we are required to for legal reasons. We will also never knowingly publish anything which is inaccurate or misleading and will make any necessary changes as early as possible. If we are required to make any minor changes to posts, such as grammar, spelling or layout, we will make them.
- All the views expressed on the Silver Cross blog are the personal opinions of the Silver Cross authors that contribute. That means that sometimes other people in our team will agree and sometimes others won’t. We don’t have an official corporate voice on this blog, just real people and real opinions.
- When members of the Silver Cross team comment on other blogs or participate in any other social media, we will always be open and transparent about who we are
- Spamming or any off topic material is not allowed on the Silver Cross blog. We want this to be a place for lively, relevant discussion. This also applies to any obvious advertising material or similar promotional messages that are not real contributions.
- If anyone else’s work has been referred to in our posts, we will always try and respect the community ethos by linking to their work and views and crediting all of the sources that we use.
That’s all for now folks. But, if you’ve got ideas for how these house rules could be improved then please leave them as a comment and who knows, you might see our rules change.
