January is considered the frugal month of the year, after all the expenses of Christmas and New Year, which is why we asked our Facebook community for their favourite money saving tips.
We had some very good suggestions that we thought we’d share with you!
Carolyn McMillan Be sensible, plan your meals, use up what is in your cupboards etc. Don’t carry on the continuous party lol!
Marie Behappy Lawrence If you don’t need, it don’t buy it. Just because its on offer – so what? X
Esther Melissa Noon Have a bills account, spending and saving
Rebecca Thompson We don’t have any a phone line, internet or tv, just freeview. We make sure all our bills are paid. and baby has got food n nappys wipes clothes then get food for ourselves and if theres any money left we save it. xx
Emma-Louise Dobson Shop around for bargains we shop at about 3 supermarkets it’s a bit of a task but saves us loads! Also when baby events are on we find the best deals and stock up on things especially wipes! Also I don’t use branded nappies as I’ve found asda or aldi nappies are far superior and half the price! X
Cheryl Shore Not really money saving for this month, but buy all your birthday gifts for the whole year in the sales as you will save loads over the year, toys are dead cheap in sales.
Don’t forget to have a look in our Outlet Store for all our latest offers – with many products up to half-price!
We would love to know your money saving tips on our Facebook or Twitter page.

Some good suggestions on here. Will retweet this for sure! I like the idea of the separate accounts to make it easier to see what you have.

I totally agree with Cheryl, not a money saving tip per se, but buying all your birthday gifts in the January sale for the year ahead is a great thing to do. We’re stocked up already (also means I’m organised when the kids get party invites we weren’t expecting!)
