Today we have a really exciting, exclusive Q&A with Alan Halsall, Chairman and owner of Silver Cross, who will be telling us all about a brand new release, Silver Cross Days Out!

Hi Alan! So, what’s Silver Cross Days Out all about?

Alan Halsall (AH): Silver Cross Days Out is a website developed by Silver Cross and designed to help you find places to take your little ones throughout the UK. Families will be able to search for specific types of attraction such as zoos, parks, aquariums, museums or places to eat. Alternatively you can enter a postcode to discover what attractions there are nearby.

Q: It sounds really interesting! What else can you tell us?

AH: Well, there are a number of really exciting aspects to the Days Out site. For example, because it’s a community site parents and guardians will be able to rate and review the venues, as well as adding their own destinations.

Also, as Silver Cross Days Out is managed and funded by us there will be no advertising, sponsorship or affiliate links. We are adamant that this should be a site for our community to access and enjoy without adverts of any sort.

Q: So how many venues are on the website now?

AH: We’ve pre-populated the website with about 500 venues and a couple of reviews from our very own Ross Hewitt – just to get us started. However we really need as many people as possible to get behind this initiative, so we would ask you to post reviews and add new destinations starting this weekend! The more you do the more you will help.

The website will be powered by the great British parents, relatives and guardians who cherish the free time they have with their little ones.

Q: What were the reasons for building the website Alan?

AH. Well, here at Silver Cross we have always thought of ourselves as not just another pram company, and following a number of questions from our customers about places to take their little ones we felt there was a great opportunity to help them by creating a dedicated website.

We hope that Silver Cross Days Out becomes the go-to website for anyone looking for something to do with their family, be it near to home or further afield. However, the website relies on the community getting involved and updating the content as often as they can, so please get involved!

Q: How can the community get involved with Days Out?

AH: The website goes live on 18th June, at which point you can access it, start adding your favourite venues and interact with those already on the website. Also, do keep checking the
